Disparaître ('To Disappear' in French), is a collection of photographs taken between 2011 and 2017. During that time, I've traveled to over 16 States and over 20 countries. I've slept on the floor of a train in Germany, hitchhiked with an excommunicated Catholic bishop in Ireland, experienced 24 hours of sunlight in Iceland, Jumped off of cliffs in Scotland, Worked at the world's largest dance music magazine in London, hunted possums in New Zealand, Went drink for drink all night with native Poles in Poznan, and experienced much more than I ever thought possible during the past seven years.
What I hope Disparaître accomplishes will go beyond photographs and stories (in fact, I've chosen to omit the stories almost entirely). My hope is that those looking through these photographs will find a sense of nostalgia. A feeling that there's no greater joy than stepping off the plane in a new country, with absolutely no itinerary, and knowing the people you meet, the random adventures you'll go on, the too many nights you'll spend drinking until 5am, the shitty hostels you'll stay in, the frustratingly illogical cultural roadblocks you'll hit, or even just the mundane conversations you'll have with strangers will stay with you for the rest of your life.
Each book is printed on 148gsm premium lustre paper and bound with a black linen hardcover and glossy dust jacket.
